The new build Irlam and Cadishead High Schools Sprinkler System becomes fully operational.
A M Fire Systems remit on this project was to fully sprinkler protect the Irlam & Cadishead High School that will be opening its doors in September for 900 pupils from 11 to 16 years of age and 150 sixth formers.
The new school features a variety of learning spaces including a new sports hall, gym, drama and dance studio and a music technology suite etc. The sprinkler systems was designed to BS EN 12845 : 2009 including TB221 – Sprinkler protection of Schools and other associated technical bulletins.
The project features an external sprinkler tank together with a dedicated GRP pump house for the sprinkler pumps and valves etc.. an underground main connects the pump house with the school and sprinkler protection is present throughout all three floors.
